HOMEWORK RULES
Due to an overwhelmingly amount of missing and late work, new consequences are being put into place.
1. Any student who is missing any assignments will stay in for recess and every recess until the assignment is completed.
2. A point will be deducted each day from a late assignment’s official grade. If the assignment isn’t turned in within a week, the student will be given a zero.
3. Those students who are ill or given an excuse (parent needs to inform the teacher) will be required to turn in the assignment the following day from the due date or given due date from the teacher. (Except for reading homework, turn in every Friday unless absent).
4. Any assignments that need to be redone or rewritten will be due the following day from the due date, except for test retakes which will be taken on the date that the teacher sets up.
5. Rewards… Any student that turns in ALL their assignments on time for 2 weeks will be granted free dress or a favorite snack of their choice.
-If the whole class turns in their reading homework and it is correctly filled in, they will be given a choice time on Friday afternoon (except for any who are missing work).
-If the whole class earns A’s on their spelling test, then the following week they will be given a snack/prize. If all A’s on spelling and reading homework they will be given choice time with snacks.
*parents please review the newsletters for homework that the students might have as well as assist them in their spelling and other assignments. It is frustrating and disappointing to know that bright students are getting low grades due to a lack of studying and doing their homework at night. That is why I bring this is to attention with more rules.
*Please feel free to talk to me or e mail me (jraftis_aal@hotmail.com) if you have any questions or concerns.
